Ladies Aid - LWML

The Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid was formed in 1924; we are now also the LWML, which stands for Lutheran Women's Missionary League. We joined the North Wisconsin District LWML in October of 1944. If a lady joins our Ladies Aid, she is automatically a member of the LWML. We encourage any young, middle age or older lady to join or Ladies Aid to help us serve our Lord with gladness and to glorify God's name and be witnesses for Him by the things we do.

We contribute to numerous charities, such as:

Other activities we perform:

    • adopted a Compassion Child whom we send money to monthly

    • sew quilts for the needy

    • work at the Thrift Store

    • save soup labels for education

    • serve for pancake dinners and funerals

    • give a gift to new mothers

    • pay for the engraving of Baptism medallions

    • sell greeting cards

    • visit shut-ins (we have a monthly cheer committee for this purpose)

    • give Christmas gifts to shut-ins and servicemen

    • help with many church projects, and many other charities.

Ladies Aid meets on the first Thursday of every month. In the summer, meetings are held at 7:00 pm and everyone takes turns serving lunch. In the winter, meetings are held at 11:30 am and a potluck lunch is served. Dues are $7 a year. There is also a mite box to put money in for Zone, District, and International LWML projects, as well as a Compassion Child box to contribute to at each meeting. A League Pledge is recited at each meeting. A bible study is led by the Pastor and occasionally there is a guest speaker. Bazaars and soup dinners are held to raise money throughout the year.

You are welcome to join us at our meetings to see what we are all about. Our motto is, "Serve the Lord with Gladness."
