Worship
Traditional worship services are held at 8:30 AM every Sunday (effective until June 2022), with Communion every 1st and 3rd Sunday.
Special Children's Messages are given on non-Communion Sundays.
Service is held in the sanctuary with instrumental accompaniment primarily from organ. We use the Lutheran Service Book for most liturgies and hymns, supplemented by other songs and liturgical items appropriate to the sermon themes. Choir, soloists, hand chimes and other instrumentalists also share music from time to time.
Special services are held for Ash Wednesday, Lent, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
If you desire to have The Lord's Supper, our practice of closed communion is the Biblical and historic practice of the Christian church. It is prompted by love, both for God's Word and for His people since it seeks to prevent spiritual damage to those who do not recognize the true body and blood of Christ in, with, and under the bread and wine in this Holy Supper (1 Corinthians 11:29). Furthermore, it does not deny that members of other denominations are Christians. Rather, it bows the knee to the Bible's deep concern for doctrinal truth (Romans 16:17) and the Bible's witness that the Lord's Supper is the highest expression of the fellowship and doctrinal unity (Acts 2:42). For this reason, please speak to Pastor before the service.
